Can you believe 2022 is drawing to an end? What a year it’s been!
The hospitality industry has had a hard year. Recovering from the pandemic lockdowns to then face staff shortages and the cost-of-living crisis. However, hospitality technology has helped venues better manage and pivot through these unpredictable periods.
Recap for 2022
The OrderMate team have worked extremely hard this year and we’ve achieved excellent results. Here’s a quick recap of what the OrderMate team have been up to.
We launched the OrderMate Portal, our new venue dashboard and reporting platform. Bringing you exciting new reporting functionality with the advantage of constant access to real-time data, enabling you to make better informed business decisions. The portal brings you new functionality to filter, sort, group and search your data, making it easier than ever to interpret. The OrderMate portal is the new and improved ControlCentre which will soon be no longer available.
We’ve been working hand in hand with our premium partners. We've further improved our HungryHungry integration and continue to enhance customer experience for in-venue and online ordering. The team from MPS (Merchant Payment Solutions), have delivered secure, flexible and reliable Tyro payment solutions, working in collaboration with the OrderMate team.
The OrderMate and Deliverect integration was announced earlier in the year and really hit the ground running. Allowing customers to replace all the messy tablets and printers needed for each online ordering partner, with one easy to use Delivery Manager App synced with your POS. Deliverect integrates all your favourite online ordering platforms (including UberEats, Doordash, Menulog and more) with your OrderMate POS system.
Many new and direct improvements to integrations have been made throughout the year such as MX51 EFTPOS, Deputy and SevenRooms. We’ve been working on countless new features and improvements to WaiterMate and OfficeMate as well. Bistro mode, delivery driver assignment and gift card APIs just to name a few.
We’ve also been very busy developing the OrderMate and Doshii integration. An app marketplace providing online ordering for pickup and delivery, in-venue ordering, gift cards, loyalty and much more, so keep your eyes open for the official launch.
And of course, the OrderMate family has grown in 2022. We have welcomed so many fantastic new venues! Iconic establishments like Hotel Sorrento and Alba Thermal Hot Springs & Spa on the Mornington Peninsula. Exquisite fine dining restaurants such as Smith St Bistrot, Lume and IDES. Amazing breweries and wineries such as 2 Brothers Brewery, Magill Estate Restaurant and Crooked River Wines. Delicious bakeries like Neds Bake, Tuga Pastries, Penny for Pound and many more.

Whilst it's hard to predict what the future holds, 2023 looks like it will be a more stable year for the hospitality industry. At OrderMate we have many new exciting things coming, here is a sneak peek:

- Adding more Doshii apps, including reservations and an embedded marketplace
Holiday office operating hours
Our front-line support teams will continue to operate during the Christmas and New Year's period however our Brisbane, Sydney & Melbourne offices will be closed from Friday 23rd Dec 2022, reopening Monday 9th Jan 2023.
