Written by Team @ OrderMate | January 30, 2015

What a month it has been! With the silly season behind us, 2015 is well and truly underway. New hospitality businesses have been cropping up all around Australia and OrderMate has been on board some of the nation’s best.

The Elms Hahndorf

A new bar bistro has recently opened in the beautiful Adelaide Hills town of Hahndorf. If you haven’t been to Hahndorf before – it’s like being transported to a country town in the hinterlands of Germany – complete with beer houses, pretzels and sausages covered in house made sauerkraut. The Elms sources all their wine and food from local suppliers and growers, and offers a seasonally changing menu.

A Slice of New York

New Yorker expats and enthusiasts alike come to Carindale Westfield to enjoy New York staples like Brooklyn Chilli Cheese Dog, Chilli Cheese Fries and Pizza Fries as well as the standard 18” pizza which can also be enjoyed by the slice.

Entrecôte

In the heart of South Yarra a new steakhouse has emerged. The focal point of the menu is Steak Frites – paying homage to the Parisian relic, Le Relais de L’Entrecôte, where Jason M Jones originally found his inspiration. All the beef served is porterhouse accompanied with house salad, house sauce and of course French fries. The only aspect a customer has to decide on is how they would like their steak cooked. If only all dining experiences could be that simple.

Rustic food from the alleyways of Naples have come to Concord, inner western suburb of Sydney. Chef Paolo Gatto and his wife Rita have earned their stripes at their popular Five Dock eatery Gatto Matto. Their loyal customers have been eagerly awaiting a little Italian “street style” eatery to the area for some time.
